Making memories
INTRODUCTION
East Ravendale Church of England Primary School is a vibrant, village primary school where everyone is valued and nurtured. The Christian ethos is an integral part of our daily lives. Children learn to show kindness, respect and forgiveness towards each other, as well as learning about the teachings of God. We strive to deliver a curriculum which ensures children learn at age appropriate levels through an engaging and exciting curriculum. Children are encouraged to explore, reflect on what they have learned and wonder about more. We believe that fostering our children's natural curiosity leads to deeper and more embedded learning.
Our core values of wonder, belief and joy thread through everything we teach, explore and discover.
OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
At East Ravendale Primary School, our curriculum is designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning and to support pupil well-being and happiness. We provide first hand learning experiences that allow children to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and achieve their full potential.
We celebrate our own special school identity through the unique experiences that our curriculum provides. We have developed a rich and varied menu of enrichment opportunities to engage learning and recognise individuality.
Our curriculum enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their development and it recognises, encourages and celebrates all types of talent.
Our Golden Rules, PSHE curriculum and daily collective worship promote positive attitudes and strong Christian values by which we live. We strive to ensure everyone has the opportunity to flourish and be the best they can be.
Children leave East Ravendale Primary School with a sense of belonging and we are proud that they are developing the confidence and skills needed to be lifelong learners.
For detail on how we comply with our duties under The Equality Act 2010 and The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 about making the curriculum accessible for those with disabilities or SEN, please see our SEND Policy.
